Jesus is Calling for You

His calling to you

Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Stop. Think about that for a moment. Jesus is calling to you to come unto Him. The Creator of the universe is asking YOU to be a part of His life! Isn’t that amazing?!  He loves you so much and has done so much for you. More than you, as a human being, will ever understand.

John 15:15 (KJV)
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Jesus is asking you to be his friend; to have a personal relationship with you.

I encourage you to answer that calling right now. But you may be wondering how to go about answering His call. Let’s look to the Bible for that answer.

Matthew 4:17 (KJV)
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

We need to go to Jesus in prayer and repent of our sins. Confess to Him that we have sinned against Him, and ask Him, with the faith that He can and will forgive us of them. And you can know by His word that He will forgive you!!

1 John 1:9 (KJV)
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Acts 3:19 (KJV)

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

After you have come to Jesus with repentance ask Him to come into your life. Ask Him to carry your burden for you. And invite your new Friend to come into your heart.
